The Green Business Bureau (GBB) is a program designed to assist companies in becoming more sustainable. It provides a wide range of tools and resources, including an online EcoAssessment tool, an EcoPlanner tool, and the opportunity to earn green business certification.

Within the GBB program, there are over 400 green initiatives and EcoPlans available for companies to choose from. Each completed activity earns points, which are categorized based on the area of business they affect, such as building, cafeteria, transportation, or office materials.

This flexible structure allows companies to differentiate themselves from their competitors and easily focus on and implement efforts that align with their specific needs and opportunities. The GBB seal is well-recognized, so member businesses get the positive recognition of their commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Businesses that undergo the certification are awarded one of three levels of certification: Bronze, Silver or Gold.
