Climate Neutral is a non-profit whose certification process includes a guided 3-step process: measure, offset, and reduce. In addition to the three-step process, companies must also document quantitative progress and abide by the Climate Neutral Certification Standards (CNCS). The CNCS is a set of rigorous standards that ensure that companies are taking meaningful steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Once a company has been certified by Climate Neutral, they can display the Climate Neutral Certified label on their products, packaging, and marketing. This label indicates to consumers that the company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and taking action on climate change.
